The Band Jamnesia is the brainchild of vocalist/drummer Russ Klein. It started out as an idea he got while hit on the head with a rock at the Santa Clara Valley Fiddle Association while Russ was holding court on his stand up bass surrounded by banjo, guitar, mandolin and fiddle players. As Russ admits, there were not too many stand up bass players around that day, "they were on me like a duck on a June bug!" But the die was cast and Klein found that he also shared an affinity for rock n' roll, blues, and jazz. Together with Marc Spilka (harmonica, saxophone, flute), "Mild Bill" Coates (lead guitar), Bryan Yoshida (keyboards, vioflutar) and bassist Marty Cohen, their insightful and gripping original blend of rock n' roll and jazzy blues is catching the attention of music lovers all over!  |
